Rat serum provides a broad range of macromolecules, carrier proteins for lipids and trace elements, attachment and spreading factors, low molecular weight nutrients, hormones and growth factors that promote cell growth and health. Goat anti-rat IgG (H+L) serum is a polyclonal antibody, which is generated by immunizing the goats using rat IgG whole molecule as an immunogen. Anti-rat antibodies are used widely in veterinary research and biochemical applications in cancer and cell biology. It is also used in immunoprecipitation techniques such as immunoelectrophoresis (IEP) and Ouchterlony to identify serum proteins, by the presence or absence of a particular protein.
